Terms of use
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms cover your use of this website. By using it, you agree to them. Use of Synthetic School itself is covered by the agreement with your programme or organisation. Every such agreement bars any use of play records to select, appraise, promote, discipline or rank a school leader.
Who we are
This website is run by Synthetic School AI Education, which is being registered in Scotland as a private limited company. Its company number will appear here once issued. Until then, the website is run by the founder, Jamie Scobie, at the same address. Our address is The Workshop, Ecclesmachan, Uphall, West Lothian, EH52 6NQ. You can contact us at hello@synthetic.school.
Using the website
You may read, link to and share pages from this website. Please do not:
- use the website in a way that breaks the law or harms anyone
- try to get into parts of our systems you have no permission to use, or disrupt how the website works
- copy large parts of the website, or present our content as your own
- send us anything about a real student, family or member of staff through the pilot form
Our content
Unless a page says otherwise, the text, design and code on this website belong to Synthetic School AI Education. Sources we cite belong to their authors and publishers, and we link to them so you can read them in full.
We check the figures on this website against their sources and say where a figure was read only through a summary or a reproduction. If you find an error, please tell us at hello@synthetic.school and we will correct it.
Information, not advice
The website describes a product in development and summarises published research. Nothing on it is legal, regulatory or financial advice. Results from the policy lab and from branches in the product are illustrative, and they are labelled that way until validation supports more.
Links to other websites
We link to research, statistics and guidance published by others. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for what they contain.
Liability
We provide this website as it is and do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, and our total liability to you for using it is limited to £100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and we will change the date at the top when we do.
